Position 1- Interim Special Education Coordinator/Assistant Principal
Acadia Academy is seeking a full time interim special education coordinator/assistant principal. This position ends on June 23rd, 2017. At this time, the selected applicant may reapply for the same position.
Job duties include scheduling of all IEP and 504 meetings, maintaining required records for special education and 504 students, updating all forms and documents using Adori program, running all IEP and 504 meetings, coordinating services as determined for students, maintaining Local Entitlement funding and documentation, and serving as the McKinney-Vento Homeless Liaison. This person attends a weekly meeting with the special education teacher, the ESP coordinator from MMCC, and the building principal; they provide assistance to classroom teachers as needed; they attend monthly RTI meetings with grade levels and building principal; they support the building principal as needed with student behavior; and they occasionally covered duties around the building. This position is 70% special education coordination and 30% administration.

Position 2- Aftercare Support Staff
Acadia Academy is seeking motivated and energetic staff for their aftercare program. This program runs daily from 2:30-5:30. In addition, on selected Fridays when there is staff professional development, the hours are 8-5:30. In the summer, the hours are Monday and Friday 8-5:30 and Tuesday through Thursday 2:30-5:30. The applicant should have experience in school age children ages 5-9, with an interest in running a program for students in new learning/experiments and activities, as well as supporting social emotional competence. Applicants must be 18 years or older and willing to attend trainings throughout the year to comply with child care licensing requirements, paid for by Acadia.
